The “Bracia Jakub i Eber Szapiro” (Jakub and Eber Szapiro Brothers) factory was founded in Lida 1900. In 1938, it was located at 170 Suwalska Street; the enterprise also had a store in Vilnius. The owners were still Jakub Szapiro and Eber Szapiro, they also had a partner – Symche [Szapiro?]. It was a factory producing agricultural machines and tools adjacent to an iron foundry, employing 80 workers and 10 staff members. It manufactured: forage harvesters, treadmills, threshers, fanners, kitchen castings, hermetic doors for furnaces, grates, etc.
