Association of Jewish Fighters and Those Damaged in World War II in Poland
The Association of Jewish Fighters and Those Damaged in World War II in Poland: the veteran organization, which consists of Polish Jews taking part in the fight against Nazi Germany and persecuted by the Holocaust. The association was founded in 1991. It has 13 local branches and 1050 members. Its purpose consists in helping the Jews damaged in WWII and disseminating the knowledge about the struggle and martyrdom of Jews during the war. The organization has established and awards a medal of 50th anniversary of Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, which is to honour well-deserving people who contributed to the dialogue and the continuation of Polish-Jewish coexistence.
