The House of Culture instead of the old synagogue

A modern cultural center will come into existence in a former synagogue in Ciechanowiec. The city authorities, in agreement with the Jewish Community, have taken the building over. In turn, the city has financed restoration of a Jewish cemetery, founded a commemorative plaque on the building of the synagogue and given half an hectare of land with an adjoining building to the Jewish Community. The new House of Culture is supposed to start its work the next year. Beside several rooms designed for workshops there will also be a sport and entertainment hall. In this way, the complex offer of both entertainment and cultural activities will be provided in one place.
