Studies at Warsaw University - Jewish History and Culture in Poland

Historical Institute of Warsaw University offers a postgraduate studies on Jewish history and culture. Recruitment continues to 11th of September 2010.

The studies are addressed to people interested in cultural heritage of Jews, who lived in Polish lands, and nowadays activity of Jewish communities in Poland. Teachers, jurnalists, librarians, employees of museums and educational institutions as well as officials are encouraged to take the studies. During 250 course-hours the students will have an opportunity to become familiar with the history of Polish Jews from Middle Ages till the end of People’s Republic of Poland, modern history of Israel and Jewish philosophy, literature, cinema and theatre. The courses are carried out by the specialists from Anielewicz Centre and Department of Polish Language (Warsaw University), Polish Academy of Science, Museum of the History of Polish Jews, Jewish Historical Institute and Polish Council of Christian and Jews.
