The virtuosos of violin from Poland and Israel performed on 2nd of September on Próżna Street. Israeli violinist and composer, Sanya Kroitor, and his band played first. The musician promoted their new album ”Renewal”. It is an amazing mix of classical music, jazz and etno. Tunes inspired by Irish and Balkan music made people dancing.

Then, Michał Urbaniak appeared. He is one of the greatest jazz violinist in the world. He’s been living and working in NY from 1973. He’s been a pioneer of fusion music and acid jazz. He recorded with Miles Davies and Quincy Jones. A project "Fusion", presented by Urbaniak during the Singer Festiwal, was a mix of Jewish, Gypsy, Spanish and Polish music. Lyrical tunes were interlaced by thrilling mixture of acid jazz. One could also hear some music motives from Highlands and Kurpie region. Urbaniak’s music had a full repertoire of emotions: nostalgia, anxiety, melancholy, but also the passion and the joy of life.
