“Bordeland’s melting pot of nations, religions and cultures... in other words the Union had already been here” is Tomasz Kuba Kozłowski’s (from the History Meeting House) multimedia presentation. It is to be shown during the Multicultural Festival Galicja in Przemyśl, in the Kazimierzowski castle (Aleja XXV Polskiej Drużyny Strzeleckiej 1) on September 6 at 6 p.m.

Magnates from Lithuania and aristocrats from Podole, batiars from Lviv and riflemen from Sich, Galician Hassids and Jews from “The Jerusalem of the North”, Germans from Volhynia, Armenians from Pokuttya and Karaims from Trakai – those are the representatives of the mosaic of ethnic groups, which was typical for the former Borderlands. Tomasz Kozłowki’s presentation concerning the multinational and multicultural society of the borderlands will be illustrated by original iconography form author’s collection. The presentation’s aim is to revive the memory of the currently forgotten heritage of the Union of Horodło and to show the curious world of Borderlands, where members of the same family could differ in terms of their nationality and faith.
