Contemporary anti-Semitism - an attempt to diagnosis

The lecture "Contemporary anti-Semitism – an attempt to diagnosis' from the series 'Multicultural Seminar' organized by the Art Foundation Arteria will take place at Nowy Świat Street 69. Dr. Alina Cała, a historian conducting research on the history of Polish-Jewish relations in the nineteenth and early twentieth century, will lecture on. She explores the history of anti-Semitism, national stereotypes, ideological movement involving Jews as well as Jewish history after 1945. The seminar will be organized during the Festival of Jewish Culture 'Singer's Warsaw', on 2nd of September.

Dr. Alina Cała works for Jewish Historical Institute. She is an author of many books and publications on Polish-Jewish relations. Together with Hanna Węgrzynek and Gabriela Zalewska she published the popular encyclopaedia 'History and Culture of Polish Jews' (2000). Now she is writting 'Anti-Semitism in Poland and its sources'.
