Multicultural Kalisz - a street game

We are inviting you to the street game Multicultural Kalisz which is organized on 21st and 28th of August 2010.

The route passes through the places connected with the former inhabitants of Kalisz, the followers of different religions and representatives of different cultures. To get to the finish line, one have to find the next checkpoint and solve the task.

The purpose of the game is to acquaint people with the history and anecdotes from everyday life of the former inhabitants of Kalisz.

PROGRAM:

Part I

21.08.2010 (Saturday)

1st stage, 10.00 – Jewish cemetery, Podmiejskia Str.,

2nd stage, 12.00 – Orthodox cemetery, Rogatka,

3rd stage, 13.00 – Catholic cemetary, Rogata

4th stage, 15.00 – Evangelical cemetery, Rogatka,

5th stage, 17.00 – Gród Piastów (Piast Castle), Zawodzie.

Part II

28.8.2010 (Saturday)

6th stage, 11.00 – the square behind WBK/BZ bank and the tour round former Jewish district (streets: Garbarska, Targowa, Złota, Ciasna, Parczewskiego i Kanonickiej)

7th stage, 12.30 – Cathedral and castle, bassilica, Jesuit college,

8th stage, 14.00 – Jan Paweł II square: governor's palace, orthodox church, The Center for Art and Culure

9th stage, 15.30 – Kiliński square (former Repphan's factory) and: Niecała Str., Garrison Church , Wolności Av.,

The next stages (10th-13th) are the concerts and the book fair:

16.30 the yard of Town Hall – band Dagadana,

17.30 – Wolności Av. 4, a square near Villa Calisia – book fair,

18.00 – Skwer ul. Przechodnia / ul. Targowa – band Cukunft,

20.00 – Bogusławski square – bands: Biff, Czesław Śpiewa.

Part III

29.08.2010 (Sunday)

14th stage – from 14.00 to16.00 – Gród Piastów (Piast Castle) at Zawodzie – collecting cards of participation,

17.00 – awards
