The skyskraper will surround the synagogue

170-meter skyscraper is set to be built at Twarda Street. The capital town hall has just assented to this investment. The President of Warsaw, Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, has just examined notices concerning the overall project of arrangement of the city. The change of this arrangement will allow to built skyscraper on the northern side of plac Defilad, between the streets Świętokrzyska, Grzybowska and John Paul II Alley. At Twarda Street, the construction of 160-meter skyscraper of Hines company has already started. Alongside, there will be 170-meter building surrounding the Nożyk Synagogue.

New skyscraper is to be as high as the Palace of Science and Culture and will be the first skyscraper in Warsaw which will use the wind energy for electric power generation. Warsaw Jewish Community is one of the investors. The skyscraper will accommodate synagogue, kosher restaurant and hotel meeting requirments of the Orthodox Jews. Offices and cultural Jewish Communities will also move there.
