Summer School – Teaching about the Holocaust

Summer School – Teaching about the Holocaust was organized by the Institute of European Studies of Jagiellonian University from 1st to 6th of July. A number of teachers, students and association’s leaders, who were interested in the history of the Holocaust, decided to attend the lectures. The experts from Poland, Israel and U. S. as Tomasz Gross, Zdzislaw Mach and Tomasz Blatt (ex-prisoner of Sobibor concentration camp) lectured on. The way of teaching about the Holocaust was the main topic. Moreover, the fight against racism and xenophobia was also discussed. The visit in the Museum of Auschwitz-Birkenau was also an integral part of the summer school.
