Jan Karski - Time of the hero

Jewish Historical Institute Association In Poland and the Museum of the History of Polish Jews has a pleasure of inviting you for the events commemorating Jan Karski – the brave courier of Polish Underground State who informed the world about the Shoah.

The panel discussion ‘Remembering Jan Karski’ is to start in Kultura Cinema in Warsaw (Krakowskie Przedmieście 21) on 13th of July at 14.45. Many Historians, diplomats and social workers interested in the history of Poland, Second World War and the Holocaust will take part in the discussion moderated by Jaroslaw Kurski. Among them there will be: Bogdan Białek, Bożena Łobzowska, Krzysztof Kasprzyk, Dr Andrzej Żbikowski and Prof. Aleksander B. Skotnicki.

From 17.45 to 24.00 the movies about Jan Karski will be shown. You would watch the fragments of ‘Shoah’ and ‘Le Rapport Karski’ by Claude Lanzmann as well as the cartoon about Karski’s mission produced by Disney studio and other movies.

Moreover, on 13th of July at 10.30 the memory plaque commemorating Jan Karski will be unveiled at Krakowskie Przedmieście Str. 1 in Warsaw.
