An exhibition as part of the ‘Silesia Topia’ Polish-German project

On 6 September, at 6 pm, an exhibition which has been organised under the ‘Silesia Topia’ Polish-German project will be inaugurated at Galeria Rondo Sztuki in Katowice. A part of this display will show an installation by the German Berlin-based artist Jani Pietsch, who devoted her work to the Jewish orphanage which operated in Zabrze from 1945 to 1949. The exhibited photo collection includes photographs of children who survived the Holocaust  thanks to Polish Catholic families. The pictures are part of the Ghetto Fighters’ House in Israel. Additionally, short films by the artist during her interviews with Holocaust survivors will be exhibited, including David Danieli, currently living in Israel, who was one of the rescued Jewish boys called Dawid Danielski from Rybnik.

The exhibition will run from 6 to 26 September at Galeria Rondo Sztuki in Katowice (1 Jerzego Zientka Rondo roundabout).
