Another school term in the Jewish Open University

Registration process at the Jewish Open University is now open. The new term will include seven blocks which have the same topic, all of which will revolve around ‘Politics and political character’. The classes will be run by experts in various disciplines and art, including Konstanty Gebert, Elżbieta Janicka and Natalia Aleksiun from the Polish Academy of Sciences and Touro College in New York.


The Jewish Open University offers interdisciplinary classes on Jewish culture, comprising lectures and workshops addressed to everyone interested in Jewish history and culture and who desire to learn more about philosophy, theatre, literature and visual arts.

The classes take place on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Centre for Yiddish Culture, 15 Andersa Street, Warsaw (Centrum Kultury Jidysz).

Warsaw University students may sign up for classes as part of the university curriculum. Attendance and passing final exams gives students 4 ECTS credits.
