A Polish-Welsh exhibition marking the International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Yesterday was the first time for Wales to open an exhibition by the Polish artist Maciej Hoffman and Nicola Tucker, a Welsh artist. This exhibition, which marks the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, gives a great insight into matters related to the Holocaust. The Blue Line exhibition touches on the Shoah, its contemporary references and connotations as well as the Holocaust trauma.

The works created by these artists, who approach the subject in a different way, have a common ground, mainly the theme of wars and conflicts. The sculptural installations by Nicola Tucker are very subtle and abstract, characterized by many aspects and references to her journey and her personal wartime experiences, whereas Maciej Hoffman’s works are big-size canvas, which make a great impression on the viewer.

The exhibition is open from January 24th and will run till February 25th, Art Central Gallery in Barry (Wales). Free entrance.
