An IT competition under the banner of ‘Our Small Homeland’

It is the second time for the School Complex no 3 in Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski to organize an IT competition called ‘Nasza mała Ojczyzna’ (Eng. Our Small Homeland). This year, the entrants will focus on the history of Jews during World War II in Ostrowiec and the Ostrowiecki county.

The aim of the competition is to shape the patriotic outlook of young people and to promote IT technologies. The competition is addressed to Ostrowiec junior high and middle school students, who can enter the competition individually or in two-member groups. In order to take part in the competition, one needs to prepare a multimedia presentation, a website or other IT program, such as an inteview, film or an audio-musical recording that will address the issue of the question of the fate of Jews during Word War II in Ostrowiec and the Ostrowiecki county. All entered projects will later be presented before a scholarly committee. All participants who are admitted to the finals will receive diplomas. Additionally, material prizes will be presented and workshops with a historian and a professional advisor will be staged.

The participants can enter their works not later than March 1st. A CD disc with the entered project as well as a printed application form together with an outline of the presentation are to be sent until April 1st. It is possible to deliver the required documents to the school office or to send them by mail.
