A seminar for teachers on the Holocaust and tolerance

The US Embassy, the Jewish Center in Oswiecim and the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum have the pleasure of inviting everyone to take part in a seminar on the Holocaust and tolerance.

The seminar will be staged at the Jewish Center in Oswiecim and at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. The classes will deal with modern methods of combining the Holocaust teaching and education on anti-discrimination. Addressed to post junior high school teachers, the workshops are free of charge except the traveling cost to Oswiecim, which will be covered by participants.

The organizers ensure the following:

•two-day educational classes, including presentations of modern teaching methods regarding the Shoah and tolerance; a visit to the former Auschwitz concentration camp and the only Oswiecim synagogue in the company of experts

•free accommodation and board

•post-seminar materials

•participation certificates

The seminar will take place twice on the following days:

January 30th-31st, (Monday-Tuesday), or

March 17th-18th (Saturday-Sunday)
