Warsaw Jewish Radio

Today is the opening day of a new project, the Internet Warsaw Jewish Radio, which will air lectures on Jewish themes, music and Jewish literature. The trial period, during which the Radio will broadcast for three months beginning today, will prove whether there is a need for the Radio to exist or not.

This Radio will give listeners the opportunity to understand Judaism much better and will endeavor to promote Jewish literature and music, both pop and classical music. Rabbi Michael Joseph Schudrich, Rabbi Tyson Herberger and Rabbi Daniel Simons are the Radio’s co-founders and lecturers. The Radio will air fragments of such books as Isaac Bashevis Singer’s ‘The Spinoza of Market Street’ (read by Hubert Chłopicki) and lectures entitled "Żydzi i Grecy", "Ubiór", "Beit Jehudi – dom żydowski cz.1", "Hilchot brachot – prawa dotyczące błogosławieństw" and "Reinkarnacja w żydowskiej teologii cz.1". Presently, the Radio offers one hundred so-called ‘slots’, which means that a maximum of one hundred listeners may access the radio at a time. However, it is up to the listeners whether this number of slots is sufficient.

You are welcome to have a listen (you only need to choose a player by clicking an icon on the main website) and tell us what you think.
