According to The Encyclopedia of Jewish Life Before and During the Holocaust, followers of Judaism settled in Bielawy in the 18th century. It is known that in 1857 the Jewish community numbered 176 people. In early 1941 the Nazis expelled the local Jews to the Warsaw ghetto.
