History

Jewish community before 1989 – Polska / łódzkie

As it is stated in The Encyclopedia of Jewish Life Before and During the Holocaust, in a census carried out in 1921, 62 inhabitants of Wola Krzystoporska declared a Jewish origin. In October 1942, the local Jews were deported by the Nazis to a ghetto in Piotrków Trybunalski, from where they were later transferred to the gas chambers of Treblinka.
