The exhibition "Wadowiccy Żydzi"

From 20 August to 5 October 2004, the Municipal Museum in Wadowice held an exhibition “Jews of Wadowice”. Realized according to the idea of Mrs. Katarzyna Iwańska and prepared in cooperation with Mrs. Joanna Pytlowska, the exhibition showed the youngest and reminded the elderly inhabitants of Wadowice how richer the community was only several dozen years ago. Many Jews, former residents of Wadowice, arrived to attend the opening of the exhibition.
Apart from exhibits and archival materials from the Wadowice Museum, many photographs were made available by the Emil Zegadłowicz Museum in Gorzeń Górny
The exhibition resulted in publishing a monographic issue of Wadoviana – a magazine published by the museum and entirely devoted to the Jewish inhabitants of Wadowice.
