Houses of prayer

Heritage Sites – Synagogues, prayer houses and others
Polska / małopolskie

There were private houses of prayer in the town as well. Jakub Langer provided access to one of the rooms in his apartment on Tatrzańska Street so that people living far from the kehilla synagogue could pray there without any charges for keeping the place clean and warm. After his death, his wife Rachela took care of the house, which remained the only house of prayer following the demolition of the Beit ha-Midrash and synagogue. The Mizrachi Zionist organization had its own house of prayer on Tatrzańska Street, the Radom Chasidim said their prayers on Zatorska Street, and the Załoszyce Chasidim – on Spadzista Street.
