Places worth seeing in Łódź are: a baroque monastery from the 18th century, huge factory complexes (Izrael K. Poznański 1878, D.K. Scheibler 1873-1879) and working-class housing estates belonging to them. There are also magnificent palaces of industrialists (the Poznański family – 1880, J. Hertz – 1892, the Scheibler family - 1886). Another interesting thing to see is Polesie Konstantynowskie nature reserve which is situated in the western part of Łódź.
