15.09.2010 Second Day of the Four Cultures Festival in Łódź
Wednesday begins with Jewish culture workshops for children “Szabatowa uczta dla najmłodszych” (“A Sabbath Feast for the Youngest”). The classes are full now and the interest they evoke makes us happy.
At 4PM in the Szafa Club (ul. Rewolucji 1905 r. nr 10/ 10 Rewolucji 1905 Street), the first of literary meetings will be devoted to the poet Paul Celan and the promotion of a book about him (for more information go to www.4kultury.pl).
At 6PM, the first day of the review of the films directed by Grigorij Aleksandrow. We welcome everyone interested to the Cytryna movies (39/41 Pomorska Street) to watch the legendary “Świat się śmieje” (“The World Is Laughing”).
The day will be ended with two performances. At 7PM the Jaracz Theater of Łódź will show its spectacle titled “Dybuka” produced by Mariusz Grzegorzek, a staging which was made a few months ago and already received several awards. At 9.30PM – “Szyc”, produced by Hanoch Levin, staged by the BARAKAH Theater from Kraków (Teatr Szwalnia, ul. Jaracza 40). The play has not been shown in Łódź yet. The music was written by Renata Przemyk.
