Kraków is on the List of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage UNESCO and has the most monuments of all the cities in Poland. Undoubtedly, the castle complex in Wawel, the city walls with turrets from the 14th century and the Main Square with surrounding city buildings are the most precious. Besides, there is over a dozen of wonderful churches, a complex of buildings of the Jagiellonian University, many tenements and palaces that deserve attention. Seven huge temples, situated in the Kraków Kazimierz, constitute the biggest complex of synagogues in Europe. It is worth mentioning that there are five nature reserves within the city limits. Near Kraków, visitors can see the famous salt mine in Wieliczka which is also on the UNESCO list.
